“Christian Leadership for Reconciliation”
As a follow-up to the 2023 Institute theme, this year, we return to the overarching theme of GLI Institutes, “Christian Leadership for Reconciliation.” We are considering how the Church, believers of every stripe, can become the reconciled and reconciling space that the Scriptures intend within families, within and between various communities, clans, tribes, nation-states, and even across borders. For the church to be the demonstration of the Kingdom of God, it must pay attention to its theological underpinnings for its practices. Therefore, we come together guided by the GLI Methodology of Word Made Flesh to confess and lament our places of brokenness as we seek to create a new flourishing community of believers. We will explore dimensions of leadership and authority from biblical and theological perspectives and in practice. We also will cast visions of the desired leadership as we build fundamentals for healing and wholeness as the bedrock for living in God’s Shalom.
